Frankfort Area Genealogical Society

The Frankfort Area Genealogical Society was organized 6 November 1974. The object of the Society is to arouse and stimulate interest in genealogy in this area, to search genealogical facts and data together with biographies, to preserve anything that pertains to the history of genealogy of our area. All researchers are welcome to join us at the library.

How to Become a Member:

We welcome everyone to become a member! To join the Frankfort Area Genealogical Society: Fill out a short questionnaire, (available at the library, which includes: name, address, phone number, and asks which families you are researching) contact a member of the board to turn in your questionnaire and membership dues. Dues are $15/yr, and include all four issues of the quarterly, Facts and Findings. Membership is Jan-Dec and is retroactive to the first of the year.

Facts and Findings:

The Society's quarterly is known as Facts and Findings. The quarterly is compiled by members of Frankfort Area Genealogical Society, and all members are encouraged to submit articles. Members are allowed to submit photographs and queries as well. It never hurts to ask for extra help. Back issues of Facts & Findings are available for $3 each in house and $5/each if mailed. Facts and Findings are in many libraries in various states. We never know when someone will pick one up and realize they are reading about their very own ancestors.
